where to stay in Wicklow

kirbie7 - Wed, 2008-11-12 08:44

hey there,

just wondering if anyone could give a bit of advice on where's a good place to base for a few days kayaking round Wicklow? or better yet, if anyone had any hostel recommendation- ideally with a drying room and a ridiciously close pub.

cheers!

Hi,

The Wicklow Uplands Council is involved in preparing an Outdoor Recreation Strategy for Co. Wicklow. To this end, they have prepared an online survey - details below. They are looking for input from persons who have an interest in this area - they are hoping that YOU will complete the survey and help shape the strategy.

did anyone ever see this site before

http://www.annamoe.net/

It has a live rainfall meter, might complement the annamoe gauge nicely.

Any ideas of water levels in wicklow for this evening?

Has anyone been out this morning/this afternoon? Is anything working after last night's rain? Checked the anamoe gauge, but need to know levels on dargle, inchavore, upper liffey etc to see if it's worth sneaking out of the office at 4pm!

cheers....
