Haven't seen it myself, but there are a few trees down upstream of the Boulder Garden section which are blocking the river.
AFAIK portage is required at all river water levels.

Hey
as you may know there are trees river left on the bouder garden on the boulder garden about 1.5 km above Jacksons on the Avonmore.
Not too much trouble in low to medium water but in high water on saturday they were almost invisible.

Guys,
Trees have fallen in from the river right and river left banks just above the first hole on the run in to Big Eas.
The trees were passable at the level on Sunday eve last (0.5m) but may become more hazardous in higher flows. They also rule out line of sight on this section.
