Car got broken into in Sluice car park on the 27th of April.

They first tried to pop my central locking by cutting the cables from the engine to the front passenger door. When that didnt work they smashed the quarter window into my boot (estate).

They went for my trousers in the boot and got away with an empty wallet, which I got back that evening.

Evening lads and ladies,

Just to let you all know a few of us were up at Sluice today and have removed the tree. The main trunk is still there on river right but I can't see it being a problem. If anybody's bored and wants to give it a go we've cut half way through it about 2/3feet from the very bottom of the trunk.

Can anyone give me locations and directions to get to Sluice and Curragower? Never been and eager to see.

Are they located on Goggle Earth???

At least two break-ins have occurred in Sluice car park in broad daylight in as many weeks while paddlers were away from their vehicles paddling at the Sluice. The perpetrators manage to smash the back windows of cars without setting off the cars' alarm by shattering the pane at the base and then gently pushing the shattered glass in and reaching for valuables.

Hello, Trinity Kayak club are running a swiftwater rescue technician course this weekend.. I can't make it so there is one space left, it'll be run on the sluice... If anyone is interested they can email me (asap) ciarabegley@vodafone.ie it'll cover river dangers and rescue, rope work, defensive swimming, river hydrology and so on..

just to let people know the Autodoc van was broken into at The Sluice on wed afternoon between 3.00 & 4.00 (both back windows were smashed) & my jeans were nicked. Luckily only some small change in the pockets.

A couple of weeks ago i was cycling along the sluice and i saw a few people using a light to paddle in the dark. Are there people paddling every day? I work long hours, and i don't get to lucan until well after 7 most days. It seems like a class way to get in water time so i want to get in on the act.
