If this is right it's as high as it's been in a long while, for anybody thinking about heading to Sluice.

Palmerstown Weir

Dave Fottrell - Tue, 2009-06-30 09:44

Folks,

Just a warning that there is some damage to the Palmerstown Weir on the Liffey, which all paddlers should be aware of.  At the bottom of the weir, on the apex of the flood pan, some concrete has broken away leaving a hole and exposing some structural steel work for the weir.

Thought this (providing it's acurate) was worth mentioning, given the relative drought as of late

If you want to see photos of the Liffey Descent 2008 at Straffan Weir then you can see hundreds of them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/30470641@N07/sets/72157607304560190/

Well done to all involved. It was a terrific spectacle to watch in the warm sunshine. Roll on 2009.

Hi there. Set of Schlegel 90 degree blades found on the Liffey above Lucan weir. Looks like they were lost/misplaced a while ago. Gives us a call on 086-8065575 if you think they could be yours or know who owns them.

Hi,

Was just wondering does anybody know why the ESB have changed the 6pm release to 4pm?

Cheers,
