Beware of recently fallen branches on the Run In to Big Eas and Big Eas sections of the Clare Glens which became loose and fell into the rapids following recent landscaping activities.

Please scout in time to ensire no tree debris block the line.

Regards,

Ross

Is the Clare Glens running this week? I know that the gauge is 'under repair' at the moment, so can anyone who lives near the glens pass on some info about its current water levels, and what they would predict for the coming weekend? thanks a mill

Guys,

Trees have fallen in from the river right and river left banks just above the first hole on the run in to Big Eas.

The trees were passable at the level on Sunday eve last (0.5m) but may become more hazardous in higher flows. They also rule out line of sight on this section.

Was passing the Clare Glens yesterday and stopped to have a look. It was at 0.8 on the guage at the bridge near the end. Looked pretty nasty, just wondering at what levels people have paddled it?

Boat pinned across Constriction on Clare Glens

Beware of a boat, which is pinned across the entrance to the constriction. It's not visible except for the rope, which has it tied off. Will try to get it out in the next day or so when the water levels drop off.
