Kelleher is Crowned King at Great Outdoors Canoeing Awards
The Great Outdoors Canoeing Awards presented at November 24th At Green Isle Hotel, Dublin.
Len Kelleher and Paddy Maloney, both honoured at the awards, chatted about their love of canoeing for almost an hour. They both share the capacity, not just to paddle, but to enthuse others about canoe-sport. As Paddy said to those gathered for the ceremony: "Above all else, encourage the young folk." Paddy Maloney from Kilcullen Canoe-club who has raced every one of the fifty years that canoeing has been in Ireland as a competitive activity. He was honoured as part of the Great Oudoors Canoeing Achievement Awards on the 24th of Novemeber.

Now is the time to mark our achievements across canoe-sport. An award ceremony will be held on November 24th at our competition coaching weekend. It is proposed that we honour the major accomplishments in the past year with a perpetual trophy for each category and a plaque for the recipient.The Categories are:
