inflatable roof rack

Just a note on any rack system that involves tying in the car - they leak! They pull tight enough to disrupt the seal around the door, and let in an annoying amount of water.
Also, Halfords will do a Thule rack for one forty...
Yeah, the bars and clamps are all standard, but the foot attachment they have to order in, as they're different for every make and model of car, and sometimes for different years of the same model, like a Mk2 to Mk3 fiesta, as we found out when I tried putting mine on a Passat. That's just cos they'd have to have thousands of parts sitting around taking up too much space and might never get bought.,
But I got mine for one forty in the Halfords in Carlow before Christmas? Must have put up their prices, or try giving them a call. I'm in Galway, yer man sorted the whole thing in about five minutes on the phone, after ringing every branch in Dublin looking for the foot set I wanted, and two weeks later I had my rack.
Indeed tis a bit messy.
I ordered an inflatable rack from ebay, I just bought myself a boat and am anxious to get it mobile.
I was looking at those when I had my 3door clio with useless rear roofbar.
Most of those handiracks are designed for cars with 5 doors. Just in case anyone is looking there does exist a x-rack system which will fit a 3 door car by lashing through the boot instead of rear doors.
Cant find the website at the mo tho sorry :(
