Winter freestyle at the sluice

Well I have not been in a boat for a long time but have been reading the reports about the thun world cup and then got back in a boat for liffey decent and realised have much I missed going round in circles in stupid little holes.

So whats the story about people going to the sluice in the winter?

Does any one have a reguar night they paddle with lights? Does it run much in the winter generally? I have some biking night lights that might do the trick but dont really wanna paddle on my own.

Last year water levels where pretty irratic. The dam tend to release during day generally when water levels are lower. If water levels are up it's good to go but also over last year there seems less regulation at higher levels meaning it washes out a good bit too.
