Rathdrum to Meetings section, Wicklow

Wasn't on this section myself but was told of a blockage on this section. Rapair works are being carried out on one of the rail bridges towards the end of the river. Seemingly they have constructed a working platform on the river bed and have machinery on the river bed. Section has to be portaged, not an easy portage by all accounts. Have some pics of it, will see if I can get them up loaded.

Yep, could be passed river right but at yesterdays level no bother but at lower level the stuff under the right arch might come closer to or above the surface.
The eddy immeditally below was honkin with diesel, those things hold an odd 600 litres.
Was the yesterday doing shuttle for the lads doing training on the section in wildwater boats and they had no problem and got around it OK so it is possible to get through for more experienced paddlers/groups (at yesterdays level ayway)
You'd think the muppets would have let the ICU know or at least put a sign upstream.
There was a diesel spill from the digger, it was even in the eddies at the meetings
