My Palm dry cag has started banging....I need to sort it out!

Any advice? I was thinking a cold wash in the bath with some delicates detergent? But I'm not sure if that will make all the seals disappear and the likes! I can't find anything on the palm website to help!

I do rinse it with fresh water pretty much after almost every time I use it so  I did try the ol prevention is better than cure but it didn't work.

Cheers

when mine gets really bad i put it in a material bag and stick it on a cold mash with not powders or anything in the washing machine, putting it in the bags helps stop it wearing from rolling around inside the machine.

You can get liquids for washing waterproof gear and for rewater proofing them, i just have the waterproofing one and put a cap of that in for a second cold wash, it works for a little while but once youve been in the sun again the effect is practically gone, once its washed and uge out of the sun to drip dry its usualy just a case ofkeeping it in the open that stops it stinking up again as fast, im convinced its leaving cags deck and dry pants in dry bags for days with booties and thermals that makes em stink, just wash your booties and thermals propperly and you should have less "banging" going on!

You arent supposed to use any detergents on breathable fabrics or neoprene so non-detergent washes like the tech wash above are supposed to be the best.

I've used a product called Mirazyme to good effect. Its designed to remove odours and seems to be safe to use. I've used it a good few times and nothings fallen off any of my gear yet.

I found it in the Diving section of my local outdoor store...

A soak in a basin with Milton every once in a while works for me.  I find the material in any gear is past its best by the time it starts to smell. A little Milton wont do it much more harm. Kills all the germs.

Also a good idea to wash everything (boat and all) in a drop of Milton after returning from a foregin trip so that no foregin parasites etc. are introduced to our native ecosystem.
