Further to a bit of Banter here
I have a set up a Blog to chronicle my attempt to nail a Helix before my 40th birthday.
This thing ain't going to go on for years as I'm 38 nearly 39.
Yeah I know to many of you lot here that's grandad country but I'll list some pros and cons and ye can work out for yourselves weather it's possible or if I'm just delusional. 
There are pros :
1. 38/39 is not too old (think EJ ) seriously.
2. I've been paddling for years
3. I know people who can do it.
4. When there's water I get out twice a week, maybe.
5. I have the right equipment, boats paddles etc.
The cons :
1. 38/39 Some would think is old enough to be learning new tricks.
2. My local spot is Sluice and I will only have limited time elsewhere to practice/attempt the move.
3. I rate myself around the average mark in the skill stakes
4. This is only a distraction in a full other life.
5. Global warming.
Hmmm what are the odds eh !
Is the Helix truly the preserve of the "ubber" boater or can the ordinary Joe hope to dare 
I don't plan this to be an informational tool really you'd need someone more responsible for that but I hope to have a bit of fun with it either way. I also hope to rope others into contributing and if any of ye have any ideas for content let me know.
