Boyne robbery
Folks, same old craic but just to let ye know that car's were broken into at the get out in slane today (car park on main rd). Usual craic in wrecking locks and taking cash but I think this time they got a good bit of cash from one paddler so you can be sure they will be out again soon.
Apart from that the river is at a lovely level!

(good luck to whoever undertakes to do this.)
1. Petition the local council for security cameras & Have a local rep approcach their TD.
- Include written testimony from all who've been affected in recent times.
- Include garda confirmation & available official info (dates, times, value of goods, etc) of reported robberies.
2. Put a video camera in a tree nearby.
3. Inform Gardai each time you park there & the duration the cars will be left unattended - They just might increase the no. of drive-by's (?!)
4. do a fake park, hide nearby & kick the sh** out of any scum having 'a look'! - A body floating thru Drogheda could come from anywhere!
5. leave the cars unlocked and take valuables with you???
sorry to hear, this is happening more and more and its really bad form
some things everyone should do to try prevent this:
dont leave anything visable (not even ur eazypass thing), usually this is kicked off when they can see what they want!
stash valuables somewhere they wont look (like under the floor mats or ur under seats), worst case you have a broken window and some clothes nicked!
park cars close together, so close you cant get at the doors of the inside cars, alternate who goes on the outside (or crappest cars on the outside)
anyone have any other ideas?
