yea....4 megs...twas a massive release all right !! hopefully it migh tcome down by tomorrow but i spose its unlikely enuf !! still and all if any1s headin down sure post back here !

Does anybody know if sluice is washed out these days?

I see on the website that it's a 3-4 Meg release each day lately.

it was at a nice level yesterday, quite big n fast. there hasnt been any rain, so it shud be ok.

Its works up to 4 meg. More of a wave feature at that level though. Was there last night, it was a bit of a funny level but good time still had.

It runs fast down the middle at that level so if your missing rolls you'll be paddling back up the long way around the rocks. Last night there was all sorts being thrown, pan-ams, air blunts, back blunts, flip turns, wave mc nasty's.

Not by me Mr M. kelleher was responsible for that lot. Only thing i was throwing was my head for taking one to many long paddles back

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

Thanks Dave and Bren, yeah I've been there at 4 megs before after heavy rain when it was a lot more of a wave than a hole and not really worth going IMO but I was hoping with the lack of rain this week that a 4 meg release wouldnt be too much. 

So I plan to head to Sluice around 3 or 4 o'clock tomorrow.  If anyone else wants to join me, give me a shout on 087-9351188.

Hi guys,

 The wildwater racing committee are holding a selection race for the World Championships this Sunday. The event will be a sprint race through Sluice starting just upstream and finishing at the green sheds by the carpark.

We would appreciate if the sluice was kept clear between 11am and 3.30pm. Thanks for your cooperation.
