Japan is weird!  Something weird happens everyday over here. For example, I rang my bro Len today who is living in Okinawa to see how he was getting on. He was on the sea shore with a few hundred locals when I rang. He was waiting for the expected tsunami that was to hit the coast between 3 and 3:30pm.

After moving to western north carolina in august 09 I finally have enough paddling under my belt to run some bigger stuff and things are going great.

 starting in the autumn with some bigger water runs and playboating in west virginia on the gauley and some other more local spots around asheville NC, 



my kayaking blog and stuff.

The tittle of this entry says it all.  I just moved to Limerick from the US but couldnt get my boat or paddle through the airport without paying a huge fee which i couldnt afford. 

 So im in desparate need of a boat and paddle to loan to buy for a descent price.  Anyone think they can assist?

Congratulations to Niall Quinn from Rathdrum who managed to finish 9th in the World Squirt Boat championships. Niall produced some excellent scoring moves in the prelims which allowed him to advance to the semi finals. The semi finals took place directly after the prelims and Niall was delighted to secure his ninth place.

Amidst rain and thunderstorms today at Thun, it was the turn of the Irish junior freestyle team and the Irish C1 team to compete on the wave.
